Since I've been horribly backlogged with tips and other stories I thought I'd turn this into a regularly occurring feature. It's an easy way for me to catch up and also harness your collective tipster skillz.

So, here's what's been happening around the XBLA world that I haven't had the chance to share:

#1: OXM UK rocks the XBLA coverage and are clearly obsessed with policemen killing zombies. [Thanks, Kornicos]

First, they've got a nice little preview of Commanders: Attack!, in which they drop names like Advance Wars and Band of Bugs. Call my interest piqued to say the least!

Next, they talk with Chris Stockman of Blazing Lizard about their recent unveiling of Pirates vs. Ninjas: Dodgeball. Still no confirmation of a possible XBLA destiny but Stockman does tease about the future of the Pirates vs. Ninjas brand (yes, it's a trademarked phrase now), including the possibility of a "lite-RPG".

They also have a preview of Marble Blast...er...Switchball. The comparisons are heavy but MBU was great so copying borrowing ideas might not be so bad. Plus, it looks pretty.

Not enough for ya? How about a preview of Battlestar Galactica?

And finally, an interview with Greg Canessa (now of PopCap Games) where he lays out PopCap's goal of world domination through casual gaming. He even hints that PopCap would love to bring Peggle and Bookworm Adventures over to XBLA. The more the merrier I say!

#2: TeamXbox Learns How to Dream-Build-Play. [thanks, Blue_Falcon]

Dale Nardozzi (aka Legba) gives us a great little rundown of what XNA is doing to bring game development back into the garage. He also interviews the top two developers in the Dream-Build-Play contest and uncovers how building your own console game from scratch doesn't have to be just a pipe dream anymore.

#3: Imagine what we can achieve together.

X360A.org has added Fatal Fury Special and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. And they've had Street Trace:NYC for a while.
