[UPDATE2] It's now up to the "proper" 400 points, hope some of you were able to get the discount while it was available.
[UPDATE] It seems that the DLC has come out at 200 points. Were still trying to find out if this is a mistake or not, but if I were you I'd pick it up now just in case!
When Undertow became the apology game from Microsoft for their issues over the Holidays, you had to think that with this expanded user base, DLC was almost certain. The only worry that we had was would an expansion of the UE3 based underwater shooter be substantial enough to keep gamers satisfied?
Their was never any need to worry!

Dubbed Path of the Elect the expansion pack adds a new five level campaign that, like all campaigns within the base game, can be played either single player, or with a friend in co-op mode over Xbox Live.
The campaign consists of battling the more technologically advanced and more powerful Elect race in what I'm assuming is a continuation of the core games storyline. As a comparison, the original title's campaign was 15 levels.
While I would probably pay the price of 400 MS points for the campaign alone, where this expansion pack truly shines is in it's multiplayer component. In addition to the campaign, Chair Entertainment is throwing in four new multiplayer maps.
The part of the expansion that may well be the most important though, is that you will be able to play as the Elect. With more powerful weapons, including a laser beam weapon, it will be interesting to see how this plays into a pretty well balanced deathmatch.

This game is such as bad/boring game. I played through the first two levels since the achievements are pretty easy to get, but the boredom I would had to sit through for the rest of the game didn't seem worth it.
Unless the DLC is completely free or completely changes the game, I won't be downloading it.

you guys are nuts, this is one of my favorite games on XBLA!
The singleplayer isn't where this game shines, it's the mulitplayer. Being able to play on a weekly basis against the developers certainly doesn't hurt.

It only cost 200MP. That is kinda cheap. Same price for a theme.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there Arcadian, I loved this title. The single player was decent at best I'll admit, but online is where it's at.
Next Tuesday @ 10 EST show up for some games and see what I'm talking about.

The biggest issue with Undertow is an inconsistent player base, but all XBLA games seem to suffer in that area.
There have been lots of great games which have gone under the radar because of mediocre games massive media attention. Undertow is one of those games.
As far as the size of the characters they are small, but either you are exaggerating or your TV isn't setup properly. On my 42" the characters are noticably larger than a nickel. I am going to hedge a bet that your TV is taking in a scan line mode higher than it actually renders and is stepping it down. With LCD TVs it is quite common to have them labeled to handle various HD formats and while they can take the input it is not a true output. The difference between a really highend HDTV and a lower end one is rarley the quality of the screen, but the upscaling/downscaling hardware and software.
However, play the game online and there won't be all that empty water to worry about.

Early risers were treated to the Undertow expansion for half price in what was apparently an error which seems to have now been fixed. Unfortunately, that means the price has been returned to it's normal price of 400 MS Points.

I raced home to pick this up (since the game was free, I thought I'd support the developers) but I missed the 200 MSP screw up so I'm not getting it. I know it's only $2.50 more expensive, but that's $2.50 more I could spend on Rock Band DLC or some other XBLA game...
Thanks, but no thanks.
