If you thought that Microsoft had an intent on slowing things down after the "summer of Xbox Live Arcade" promotion had finished you were dead wrong. Last week saw the release of Shred Nebula, Gin Rummy, Pirates Vs. Ninjas: Dodgeball, and some new content for Poker Smash. This week sees that bid and raises with even more DLC. Here's what to expect:
- RocketBowl (800 MSP) is all about you and your rocket-propelled bowling ball. The Dude would be proud.
- Samurai Shodown 2 (400 MSP) brings back the old-school 2D arcade fighter and plops it right on your home console only a mere 14 years after its original release (and a full year after the announce). Now who's gonna get me the special Leipzig 360 controller with the good d-pad so I won't suck so much at this?
- Shotest Shogi (800 MSP) was already released in Japan (and some of us managed to find it here as well) and contains extensive tutorials for those not familiar with the classic board game.
- More Buku Sudoku puzzles (1200 more for 200 MSP)
- More N+ goodness, including 150 "harder" single player levels, 50 multiplayer races and 25 mulitplayer survival maps (200 MSP)
So what's worth getting people?

For 400 points, Samurai Shodown II is unbelievably good value (considering it's a better game than SF2 and UMK3), and I'm definitely picking up a copy.
Also, reports from Leipzig indicated that the "better" d-pad still isn't much good (it recognizes more directions, rather than the 8 cardinal directions better), so if you're keen on fighting games or classic arcade games, do what I did and buy an arcade stick. The Hori fighting stick isn't that much more expensive than a standard controller and it makes a world of difference in these games.

I always loves the Shodown series. But I really have a problem with those vertical borders. If it looks good and its not a lazy conversion like some others I will go for it. More food for my Hori sticks :)

I don't really prefer to buy an arcade stick. I bought two of those Mad Catz arcade sticks but the other one broke in such a small period. The big stick broke when my friend played with it. Plus the sticks get some weird liquid to them, the ball area of the sticks.
I'm not sure about the other sticks but the Mad Catz stick is not really worth of having.

Go for Hori m8.
I bought one for Tekken 1 when it first was released. It took more then 12 years of abuse. And it still feels as solid as day one.
The 360 Hori stick is also good. Not built from plate steel, but still good :)

Well, I was planning on buying SS2 today since it was to be only 400 points, but it appears we've been tricked and it is really 800. So tha's a definate no-go for me.

Yeah I was gonna pick up SS2 as well, but I won't pay 800msp for it. To bad, I was kinda looking forward to it.
I think SNK-Playmore made a mistake by not releasing it at 400 points. At that price it would have been an impulse purchase for many people, but at 800MSP it will only be bought by dedicated 2D fighter fans.
