Foundation 9, the developer behind the Digital Eclipse brand, has
announced last week that they will be going through some changes. Backbone Charlottetown (now
Other Ocean Interactive) will be spun off into a new developer unattached to Foundation 9. The reason for this is due to Foundation 9's "need to focus on larger studios, both our current ones and potential future additions to the company." There is no information on how this will affect the stream of retro titles to the Arcade other than that
press release mentions that Other Ocean continues to work on the Tron games and future downloadable distribution titles.

Well that's a typically confusing corporate statement. They're ditching one studio because they need to focus...on adding other studios? WTF? Hopefully it's good for all the people employed at Other Ocean because this announcement is weird.
Oh, and of note, the last game they worked on was Castlevania: SOTN which I thought was well done. Which reminds me that I still need to play more of it.

I played castlevania a bit, but got stuck. I can ether go up the stairs and fight a mirror of myself, who seems nearly impossible to defeat, or I can take a long trip to the right, go down a few steps, and fight a boss that is impossible to beat.
I lose either way. I think I missed something somewhere.
