Jay Is Games Competition
Being an XBLA-devoted site, I'm sure that a lot of readers here are fans of casual gaming in general.
That being said, one of my favorite casual game sites is jayisgames.com
It's a blog devoted to great browser-based (and sometimes downloadable) games, mostly for free games, but they also showcase some premium content.
They also run a recurring game design competition, and recently announced a prize of $2,500 to the winner of the next contest, sponsored by sierra.
So if there are any designers here, here's a shot to make some cash with your talent.

Though I see there is about zero interest in the competition here, I thought I'd post as they just released the theme for the competition.
Theme: Ball Physics
Deadline: Oct 1st
There are some more details about the rules at the link below. The main sticking point seems to be your game cannot be published on any website until after the competition deadline.
Previous competitions have been really good, although, I liked the results of competition #2 more than #1 or #3.
Not zero interest, zero *time*. Thanks for dropping these links and the info. I'm incredibly interested but my schedule has been insane these past two weeks...trying to bring you guys and gals all the content I can find, right?
Anyway...Ball Physics, huh? That's a strange and narrow category...but I guess that's why they're using it -- to see who can stretch their imaginations and skills.
