Prepaid game cards for XBLA (specific games, not points)

Prepaid game cards for XBLA (specific games, not points)

Have you seen them?

I found a few at a Target near me, but when I went back that afternoon (I had to make a last trip before Thanksgiving rush) they were removed from the shelf. There was at least 100 cards total for 4 or 5 different games so I highly doubt they sold out.

There were only a few games and non interested me or I already owned them. I can't remember what all now but Texas Hold'em was one.

I was under the assuption that it would be part of the holiday push and most likely be on the shelves on black friday however I haven't found a single one yet. I was thinking of giving them to my new in-laws pre-teens with a gift card (they are part of the 360 population which haven't played a single XBLA title before), but it is difficult when you can't find them.

Anyone else physically see them anywhere? Is it something that may not have hit shelves yet officially?

ha ha. Yeah, I saw them at Target in MN. Was actually going to do a story on them but only have crappy Cell pics of them. I saw UNO, Geo Wars, and Worms.

Was it by chance the Quarry aka Nordeast store just off 35?

I'm in agreement with all of you being a MN resident myself born and raised. I've seen them around too. roseville and forest lake inparticular.
I can honestly say I've

I can honestly say I've never even heard of them before. It's a fantastic move on Microsoft's part, now actually putting some marketing money behind the idea would be an even better idea, especially while so many people are running around looking for stocking stuffers.

Yeah it is a good idea and I am a bit confused why it took this long to hit the market. It is not as if it is some amazing new technology, difficult to manufacture or costly to package.

I actually live a bit closer to the Roseville store, but the Quarry is almost always better stocked. I kinda gave up on that store after the remodel. Guess I wil head over there tomorrow.

I live in TN, but I have

I live in TN, but I have looked these up on ebay a while ago but they only had joust and robotron, probably leftover stock from the ones that were packed in with the XBLA joystick you could buy.

I'll go check again now and see if they have any different ones now though.

Thes cards were smaller and

Thes cards were smaller and specificaly designed to go on hanging hooks like the accesories are on by video game shelving.

I have been to every Target, Walmart, GameCrap (er GameStop), Best Buy, Circuit City and anything else I can think of in the 20 mile radius and I still haven't seen another.

Edit: Actually I haven't been to the Roseville Target yet, should go their today. I am just never near it for any other errands.

Maybe they accidentally put them out early, i guess we'll have to wait and see if they are officially announced.
