This Week And Beyond: Hits Now, Much More Soon

This week on XBLA: The Xbox Live Arcade Hits program! Okay, so maybe that's not the biggest news for everyone (since most of you have already snagged those games). But the promise of cheaper games on XBLA over time is certainly a good thing. Mini-woo!

Since the dash update and the rollout of the Hits program seem to be taking center stage this week, Microsoft has been kind enough to tease us with their slated December and January Lineup. The XBLA iceflow will bring us:

Arkadian Warriors, Brain Challenge (ooh, a mystery title), Gripshift, N+, Omega Five, Poker Smash, Rez HD, and (say it with me now, finally!) Sensible World of Soccer.

Now let's just hope we actually get all these games in the next two months, as promised. And now that we're finally getting Sensi (December 19th) where's poor lost War World?

While Akadian Warriors, Rez, and Omega Five are only my to get list (so far) I am getting antsy for Warworld.

Direct from the devs/admins at the official Warworld.net forums:

"yes we have been a little quiet as we have been deep in development. War World XBLA is in great shape and is still coming to XBLA. At this point in time we cannot say exactly when. Ubisoft and Microsoft have control and will make the final decision when will be the right time to release War World. Obviously Microsoft wants to balance the type and timing of games that are released on XBLA. We hope it will happen soon. So stay tuned!"

Politics? Bugs? the Ubisoft internal restructuring messing it all up? Taking bets now...

LOL. The future of XBLA is changing a small stream (born of a slow moving glacier) into a rushing torrent of gaming goodness.

Guess I lost a few people there. Sorry. The melting due to hotness theory was good too. (^_^)

Brain Challenge (Game Loft)
Brain Challenge (Game Loft) is a quite fun cell phone game. Very similar to Nintendos Brain Training (surprise, huh?). Looking forward to that one.

Is this the complete list, or did you pluck out some highlights? I'm wondering where all the board games are we thought were coming. I am worried because with Carcassonne going free download, It makes me wonder if the board game experiment failed and we not getting any more of them. Stratego very much plz.
