thanks for throwing all of our dreams into the gutter =( i just hope the wii part of the rumor is true though. although egm rumors tend to either be untrue or so out there that it never actually comes to be?

I've been hearing a lot of forum talk lately about killer instinct 3 being in the works. I'ld love to see that more than an XBLA version of the older games. The graphics of the game looked great back in the day but like Mortal Kombat's graphics... I don't think they hold up for today.

Just because some MS lackey comes to the forum and says it is not happening doesn't make it true. Their job is to dissuade us, and keep their competitors guessing.

I'm not so sure I'd consider the portfolio manager for XBLA to be a lackey :)

Can you be truly sure that this person is who they say they are. It would be easy for someone to go on a posting spree saying they are someone in the know and pass false info. I have seen it on other boards. It just seems interesting that the individual posts a taste to something but does not say anything more. It would be nice if you are just reading the boards for insight or if you are looking for feedback fine. If you are who you say you are maybe you can throw us a bone and give us a news bite before it hits anywhere else. I do get emails from people who pretend to be paypal or ebay on the daily basis and insist I give them every historical fact about myself. So please understand my skepticism.

I completely understand your skepticism, but I have double checked and that is indeed Ross Erickson of Microsoft.

Ok then it is him. I hope he will spill something on here shortly then. Maybe when they will increase the number of weekly releases to 2 or more. etc.

Interesting, but I think I'll wait for an official announcement before I get too excited.

i don't see how this isn't official. tomacco said he checked and besides if it wasn't ross erickson he would have emailed tomacco by now.

i wouldn't say microsoft would hide that this game is coming out. it's not their position to do so. that's not to say that there couldn't at one time or even now been a katamari destined for XBLA. it probably just is or was in a place way before ever contacting microsoft about. then again it could be utterly bogus. quarterman isn't always right.
