Well after 3 long years of service, my xbox 360 died last weekend. Tragic.
Well anyway, I just got my xbox back.. And it's a replacement! But that's a good thing, since the console I got back was manufactured january 26th, 2010. Meaning it will have an even less chance of succumbing to E74 than my old console, which was manufactured in september 2007.Hopefully it's an actual new console, and not just refurbished though. But it looks so new.. So I'm going to go with that.
Pretty happy about that, although I now have to get my licenses back for my xbla games and other content.
Anybody else had a positive experience with getting your console fixed like I did?

I also had red ring while back, they told me my warranty was expired but they will still fix it (probably because they extended warranty). So I sent my xbox to them and got it a replacement back in about 2 weeks. I recieved my new xbox about a year ago though, and that's the console I'm still using right now. Although, I noticed when I close my tray with no game inside, it makes a loud noise. I also recently put in xmen origins and it seems to make my disc tray get stuck.
But other than that, xbox works perfect. :)
