Massive 2007 XBLA List

At Microsoft's Press Conference from E3 this year, the emphasis was on games arriving this year.  Alongside all of their retail game announcements they gave us a list of Xbox Live Arcade games that we can assume will arrive before 2008.

Bomberman Live!
Undertow
Sonic the Hedgehog
WarWorld
Sensible World of Soccer
Hexic 2 (Looks to add multiplayer to the successful formula)
Geon
Wing commander: Arena
Every Extend Extra Extreme
Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown
Track & Field
Golden Axe
Spyglass Board Games
Space Giraffe
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
Word Puzzle
Marathon: Durandal
Poker Smash
Switchball
Tetris Splash
Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords
Boku Sudoku

Many of these are old news and some are new but together with those game already out, XBLA will finally break the 100 game threshold.  And as Peter Moore said, all these games will be out before 2008.

More as we discover it.

The games look really awesome.  Can't wait to play Sonic tomorrow too!  Isn't Durandal the 2nd Marathon game?  Seems a little strange not to get the first one?

22 games in the montage,

22 games in the montage, something like 20 wednesdays left this year, means at least one game per week.

Funny thing, no retro arcade titles in the montage, yet we know we're going to have a bunch more of those thrown at us based on the rate they've been coming out... I bet the total for the year is more like 35-40 more games if you include those.

Well, they said 100+ games

Well, they said 100+ games by the end of the year, and we're nearly at 70 I think...so, at LEAST 30 games are coming.

A few of these titles had managed to stay pretty well under the radar - Geon was the one title that I really want to know more about.

The line-up looks mostly solid, though.

Plus, the list above is definitely NOT comprehensive.  You don't see Battlestar Galactica and Commanders! on that list.  Plus, we've got a few more surprises in store for you too!  ;-)

Poker Smash looks like it's
Poker Smash looks like it's based on the Tetris Attack/Puzzle League formula, so that's a strong buy.

No Alhambra?
The glaring omission is Alhambra. Its been 11 months since it was first announced. What is the story behind it? Does anybody know?

Joystiq are reporting that

Joystiq are reporting that Streets of Rage 2, Ecco the Dolphin and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 are also going to be released on XBLA as part of the Sega Vintage Games Collection "shortly" at 400 MSP each.

Don't know if "shortly" means before the end of E3, or in the next few months.
